Mission Statement

Ruthless Nightingale Theater Company fosters innovative ideas that contextualize the here and now in the charged space between all of us; illuminating the modern world with explosive and risky storytelling. We see the rehearsal room as a collective of artists collaborating on equal footing with the shared purpose of serving the idea. Through our unique development process, we strive to open the playwright’s concept in order to shed light on all possible iterations of a new and communally built world. Like the nightingale, our theater company aims to produce work that represents both life and death, both love and loss, and both unabashed joy and profound sadness.  In other words, we are interested in fiery, unapologetic, difficult truths that confront the imperfections in all of us.
